Full Service Marine Repairs
ENGINES & TRANSMISSIONS
   NOTE: Engine oil analysis is recommended every oil change or 100 hours to develop
                engine history, very helpful when selling vessel.
   There are engine primary's and Fuel Water Separator secondaries
   Secondaries should be disassembled yearly and cleaned if algae present
   Plugs - Change per engine manufacturers recommendations
   Cap & Rotor Button - Change Yearly
   Ignition wires - Change every 2 years or as required
   NOTE: These are usually found on the heat exchanger's.
   Baskets condition, Bonding Connections, seals etc.
   Coolant Levels Check and change per manufacturers recommendations
   Pressure Caps Clean sealing surfaces and check condition
   Heat Exchanger - Flush and clean tube bundles yearly ( Raw Water Side )
   Belts - Condition, tightness, wear, pulley alignment, fraying etc.
   Hoses - Condition, clamps, soft or bulging areas, dry rotting, rusted wire etc.
   Hoses - Condition, dry rotting, soft or bulging areas, leakage gas or water
   Clamps - Condition, tightness, proper installation & type
   Mufflers - Condition, drains, fittings, leakage gas or water
   Risers & Manifolds:
           Check for leakage yearly ( around gasket surfaces to manifolds )
           Risers should be changed every 2 years ( Rust from the inside out )
           Raw water manifolds should be changed every 2 years
           fresh water manifolds should be changed every 5 years
   Check tightness of mounting hardware
   Check condition ( Prone to rust and corrosion ) clean and service as required
   Replace per manufacturers recommendations
   Clean rust as required and repaint to prevent further deterioration
   Check for oil leakage and repair as required
   Check for water leakage and repair as required
   
NOTE: Check your owners manual and engine manuals for recommendations and
        time intervals for service etc.
